Brigada News FM DXBY 89.9 Zamboanga – The leader in news and public affairs and the most listened to in the City of Flowers, 89.9 Brigada News FM Zamboanga began broadcasting on October 12, 2013, few days after the infamous Zamboanga Siege. The station was officially launched on May 28, 2014.
The station initially operated with a five-kilowatt transmitter, which was replaced witha state-of-the-art 10-kilowatt transmitter to cater to provinces and islands near and around Zamboanga City.
A couple of years after it started broadcasting with the Brigada signature format of public affairs mixed with music and entertainment, 93.1 Brigada News FM Zamboanga bested all other radio stations in the area topping the official Kantar Media research survey as the No. 1 most listened to radio station in Zamboanga.
The station is known for its incisive and relevant commentaries, fresh news, credible reporting and well-rounded entertainment with a wide array of music. The station is located at the 2ndFloor, LRC building, Tomas Claudio Street, Zamboanga City.
